Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Systems Engineer for their Queenstown-based team. The role focuses on developing, implementing, and auditing QMS to ensure ISO 9001 compliance and product excellence.

You will drive CAPA initiatives and deliver training across departments to support continuous quality improvement. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality assurance, sharp analytical skills, and proven auditing capabilities to sustain customer trust and regulatory

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Quality Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance or quality engineering roles.
• Proven experience implementing ISO 9001 or other relevant quality standards.
• Strong knowledge of quality tools (SPC, FMEA) and CAPA processes.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and maintain the Quality Management System (QMS) per ISO 9001 or similar standards.
• Conduct internal audits to assess compliance and identify improvement opportunities.
• Investigate non-conformances, identify root causes, and implement CAPA.
• Develop and deliver quality training across departments.
• Analyze quality data, generate reports, and recommend improvement strategies.
• Collaborate with production and engineering to uphold quality throughout the lifecycle.
