Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a meticulous Quality Mechanical Engineer to ensure products and processes meet the highest quality standards. You will drive CAPA, analyze data, and collaborate with design and production to improve reliability in the Queenstown manufacturing environment.

Key duties include developing QC plans, conducting inspections, and managing calibration of QC equipment while ensuring compliance with ISO 9001 and industry standards. Relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4 years of experience in quality engineering or related role in manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of quality management systems (ISO 9001).
• Experience with inspection techniques, statistical process control (SPC), and root cause analysis.
• Proficiency with metrology equipment and tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement quality control plans for mechanical components and assemblies.
• Conduct inspections and testing to ensure specifications are met.
• Analyze quality data, identify trends, and implement CAPA actions.
• Collaborate with design and production teams to address quality issues and improve reliability.
• Manage calibration and maintenance of quality control equipment.
