Placements24 is seeking a Senior Software Quality Assurance Engineer in Polokwane, Limpopo to lead QA initiatives across web and mobile projects. You will design test strategies, mentor junior QA engineers, and collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure robust quality.

Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of QA experience, hands-on expertise with Selenium/Appium/Cypress, Jira/Bugzilla, and performance/API testing tools, and a passion for delivering high-quality software

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in software quality assurance/testing.
• Ability to develop and execute test plans and test cases.
• Proficiency with automated testing tools and frameworks (Selenium, Appium, Cypress).
• Experience with bug tracking systems (Jira, Bugzilla).
• Strong understanding of SDLC and Agile methodologies.
• Experience with performance testing (JMeter, LoadRunner) and API testing (Postman, RestAssured).
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for web and mobile applications.
• Identify, document, and track defects; ensure timely resolution.
• Collaborate with developers, product managers, and stakeholders to ensure test coverage.
• Design and implement automated testing frameworks and scripts.
• Perform functional, regression, integration, performance, and usability testing.
• Mentor junior QA engineers and contribute to QA process improvements.
• Provide detailed reports on product quality and defect trends.
