Placements24 seeks a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer to join our client in Nelspruit. You will develop and execute detailed test plans, perform manual and automated testing, and collaborate with development teams to resolve issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, Engineering, or related field or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years in software quality assurance.
• Experience designing and executing test plans and test cases.
• Hands-on automation testing with Selenium, Appium, Postman.
• Scripting with Python or JavaScript.
• Experience with Jira and test management tools.
• SDLC and Agile methodology understanding.
• Experience with API and database testing.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
• Perform thorough manual and automated testing of software applications across various platforms.
• Identify, record, document thoroughly, and track bugs using bug tracking systems (e.g., Jira).
• Design and implement automated test scripts using relevant frameworks and tools.
• Perform regression testing when bugs are resolved.
• Collaborate with development teams to understand features, requirements, and potential issues.
• Participate in the definition of done and contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes.
• Analyze test results and provide clear, concise reports to stakeholders.
• Stay up-to-date with new testing tools and test strategies.
• Mentor junior QA team members and share best practices.
