Job summary

Sibanye Stillwater is seeking a senior project management professional to lead the governance, scheduling, and stakeholder engagement across project lifecycles. The role emphasizes developing and enforcing stakeholder agreements, monitoring progress, and guiding sponsors for project buy-in.

The ideal candidate has extensive experience in project management within a mining/engineering context, with strong leadership, risk, and cost-control capabilities.

Qualifications

• NQF 6 (Diploma or Advanced Certificate) in Engineering with Government Certificate of Competency or NQF 7 (Bachelor’s degree or Advanced Diploma) in Project Management, Engineering or Technical field.
• At least 10 years’ experience in a related role, with 5 years in a management level or specialist area.
• Medical fitness to work in the specific business area and a clear security screening record.
• Advantageous qualifications include NQF 8, ECSA Registration or PMP certification.

Responsibilities

• Identify and develop a Stakeholder Management Plan to enable stakeholder engagement.
• Monitor buy-in and participation from all relevant stakeholders.
• Encourage Project Sponsors to promote projects within the organisation.
• Coach stakeholders on enrolment principles and governance.
• Initiate, formulate and implement Stakeholder Agreements to ensure project objectives.
• Provide project feedback per organisational standards and develop baseline schedules.
• Manage the stage-gate process to meet board-approved project schedules.
• Define and execute projects within approved scope and ensure adherence to governance.

Education
