Placements24 in Richards Bay is seeking a proactive Mechanical Project Engineer to join our hybrid team. You will manage mechanical projects from conception through to completion, coordinating with office and field stakeholders to ensure on-time delivery, within budget, and to specifications.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, 5+ years in project engineering or management, and strong leadership and communication skills to drive complex multi-discipline projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 5+ years of experience in project engineering or project management.
• Proven ability to manage complex mechanical projects.
• Strong knowledge of project management methodologies.
• Excellent leadership, negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with site supervision and hybrid work arrangements.

Responsibilities

• Manage all phases of mechanical projects from scope to completion.
• Oversee design, procurement, installation, and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with engineering standards and safety regulations.
• Coordinate with internal teams, contractors and suppliers.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Prepare regular status reports for management.
