Armstrong Appointments seeks a Project Manager for a renewable energy client, based in Gauteng with travel to Eastern Cape and surrounding areas. You will lead project delivery from development through handover, coordinating with clients, contractors, internal teams and leadership to ensure successful outcomes.

The role emphasizes governance, risk management, and strong commercial and contract management capabilities, with a focus on safety and stakeholder engagement across multiple sites.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' experience as a Project Manager and leading teams.
• Experience managing large projects with construction or energy focus in Southern Africa.
• Strong leadership, commercial and contract management skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership and strategic direction for projects from development through construction to handover.
• Establish governance, reporting, and decision-making frameworks.
• Interface with clients, teams, department heads, and key stakeholders.
• Build relationships with community stakeholders.
• Oversee planning, scheduling and execution across all phases.
• Identify and mitigate project risks including technical, commercial, safety and schedule risks.
• Ensure understanding and alignment of contract requirements and obligations.
• Oversee cost control, budget adherence and commercial risk mitigation.
• Lead the project team to deliver safely within schedule and budget.
• Drive project reporting and visibility across the business.
