Job summary

International Renewable Energy Company in South Africa seeks an experienced Senior Project Manager to lead large-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects from construction through to handover. You will drive cross-functional teams, manage contracts and budgets, ensure safety and quality, and oversee complex interfaces across multi-technology projects.

The role requires travel across South Africa and potentially Sub-Saharan Africa, a strong commercial mindset, and a proven track record

Qualifications

• Engineering/Construction Management degree.
• Tertiary qualification in Project Management.
• Minimum 10 years on large-scale construction projects.
• 5+ years in leadership on large-scale projects.
• Experience with renewable energy and/or power projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of large-scale renewable energy and energy storage projects.
• Lead projects from construction through commissioning and handover.
• Develop and implement robust PM plans, processes and controls.
• Coordinate multidisciplinary teams across Engineering, Construction, HSE, Quality and Commercial.
• Monitor KPIs, costs, risks and contractor performance.
• Provide regular project reporting to senior management.
