Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Project Manager to oversee renewable energy infrastructure projects in Upington, Northern Cape. You will lead across the full project lifecycle—from site assessment and feasibility studies to design, procurement, construction, commissioning, and handover.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree in Engineering and at least seven years in project management within solar, wind, or large-scale energy sectors, with certification such as PMP or PRINCE2 being

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical, Mechanical, Civil) or related technical discipline.
• 7+ years of project management experience in renewable energy or infrastructure.
• Experience in solar farms, wind turbines, or large-scale energy infrastructure.
• PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent certification is desirable.
• Strong understanding of project finance, contract management, and regulatory frameworks in energy.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects.
• Develop comprehensive project plans with scope, objectives, timelines, and budgets.
• Manage project teams including engineers, contractors, and consultants.
• Oversee procurement of equipment, materials, and services.
• Ensure adherence to safety, environmental, quality, and regulatory standards.
• Monitor progress, identify risks, and implement mitigations.
• Manage project finances and budget control.
• Coordinate with authorities, internal teams, and communities.
