Our client, a leading digital transformation consultancy, is seeking an accomplished and motivated Senior Project Manager to lead complex cloud migration initiatives. This is a fully remote, client-facing role requiring exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and a deep understanding of project lifecycle management within a virtual environment. You will be instrumental in guiding diverse, distributed teams through seamless transitions to scalable and secure cloud infrastructures. Your expertise will be critical in ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards, fostering strong stakeholder relationships across various geographies and time zones. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute comprehensive project plans, timelines, and budgets for cloud migration projects, ensuring alignment with client objectives and business goals.
• Lead and mentor cross-functional, remote project teams, fostering a collaborative and high-performance culture.
• Manage stakeholder expectations through effective communication, regular status reporting, and proactive risk mitigation.
• Oversee the procurement and management of third-party vendors and resources as required for project success.
• Conduct project post-mortems and identify lessons learned to continuously improve project delivery processes and methodologies.
• Ensure adherence to established project management frameworks, best practices, and quality assurance standards throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field; a Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in project management, with at least 3 years focused on large-scale cloud migration projects (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Proven experience managing remote teams and delivering complex projects in a distributed environment.
• Strong understanding of Agile and Waterfall methodologies, with the ability to adapt approaches as needed.
• Excellent leadership, communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Jira, Asana, Microsoft Project) and collaboration tools (e.g., Slack, Microsoft Teams).
• PMP, PRINCE2, or similar project management certification is highly desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to manage budgets exceeding R5 million and complex project timelines.
