You will lead design teams, coordinate with consultants, ensure regulatory compliance, and maintain client relationships to deliver high-quality, urban-regenerating projects.

• Registered Professional Architect with SACAP.
• 8+ years of progressive architectural experience with a focus on mixed-use developments.

About the Role

Our client, a prestigious architectural firm renowned for its large-scale mixed-use developments, is seeking a Senior Project Architect. This role, based in Benoni, Gauteng , offers a hybrid work arrangement, blending remote flexibility with essential in-office collaboration. The Senior Project Architect will be responsible for overseeing the entire lifecycle of complex mixed-use projects, from initial concept design through to final construction completion. This includes managing design teams, coordinating with consultants, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining client relationships. You will play a critical role in delivering innovative and high-quality developments that contribute significantly to urban regeneration and community building. Key Responsibilities

• Lead the design and execution of complex mixed-use architectural projects.
• Manage and mentor project teams, ensuring effective collaboration and workflow.
• Develop comprehensive architectural designs, including master plans, schematics, and detailed construction documents.
• Coordinate with various engineering disciplines (structural, MEP, civil) and external consultants.

Requirements

• Professional Architect registration with SACAP.
• Minimum of 8 years of progressive experience in architectural practice, with a strong focus on mixed-use developments.
• Demonstrated experience in managing large-scale, complex projects from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in architectural design software, including Revit, AutoCAD, and BIM platforms.
• In-depth knowledge of building codes, zoning laws, and construction methodologies applicable to mixed-use projects.
• Excellent leadership, project management, and communication skills.
• Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships.
• Strong understanding of urban design principles and placemaking concepts.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet challenging deadlines.
