Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Architect to join a leading architecture practice in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will lead design and project management for commercial and retail developments, liaising with clients and coordinating multidisciplinary teams.

You should have a PrArch qualification and a minimum of 7 years’ post-qualification experience, with proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and visualization tools, and strong knowledge of South African building regulations.

• PrArch qualification or equivalent.
• 7+ years post-qualification experience in commercial/retail architecture.
• Proven project delivery from inception to completion.
• Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD and visualization tools.
• In-depth knowledge of South African building regulations and planning processes.
• Excellent client management, communication and presentation skills.
• Strong leadership and ability to manage project teams.
• Ability to multitask and manage multiple projects under pressure.
• Experience in contract administration is advantageous.

Responsabilidades

• Lead architectural design and project management for commercial and retail developments.
• Engage directly with clients to understand project briefs, objectives, and commercial aspirations.
• Develop innovative and functional design concepts, translating them into detailed architectural plans and specifications.
• Coordinate and collaborate with engineers, interior designers, contractors, and other consultants throughout the project lifecycle.
• Ensure designs adhere to building regulations, zoning laws, and client-specific requirements.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation effectively.
• Conduct site visits for progress monitoring, quality control, and problem-solving.
• Prepare and present design proposals and project updates to clients and stakeholders.
• Mentor and guide junior architectural staff, fostering their professional development.
• Maintain high standards of architectural practice and contribute to the firm’s design ethos.
