Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Project Architect specialized in commercial developments to lead major Centurion projects from design to construction administration. You will guide cross-functional teams and coordinate with clients, ensuring on-time delivery and design excellence.

The ideal candidate has 10+ years in commercial architecture, SAIA registration, and strong skills in Revit, AutoCAD, and rendering tools, with deep knowledge of codes and regulations in South Africa.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent experience.
• SAIA registration or equivalent professional body.
• Minimum 10 years post-graduate experience in commercial architecture.
• Proficiency with Revit, AutoCAD, and rendering tools.
• Strong knowledge of building codes and zoning regulations.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for major commercial development projects in Centurion, from conceptualization to final construction documentation.
• Manage project teams of junior architects, designers, and consultants, ensuring effective collaboration.
• Develop detailed design solutions, construction drawings, and specifications that meet requirements, budget, and schedules.
• Ensure designs comply with local planning regulations, building codes, and accessibility standards in SA.
• Conduct site analyses, feasibility studies, and due diligence for new projects.
• Liaise with clients, developers, and stakeholders to present concepts and progress updates.
• Oversee construction administration, RFIs, submittals, and site inspections.
• Mentor junior architectural staff and foster professional development.
• Uphold high standards of design quality throughout all project phases.
