Placements24 is seeking a Senior Architect in Sandton, Gauteng. You will lead commercial and retail projects from concept to completion, mentor junior staff, and ensure design excellence while aligning with client objectives and market trends.

The role requires a Master's in Architecture with at least 8 years of experience, proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite, and solid knowledge of South African building regulations. Experience in hybrid work settings is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Architecture or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in architectural design with a strong focus on commercial and retail projects.
• Proven track record delivering complex commercial and retail developments.
• Proficiency in architectural design software such as Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite.
• Excellent understanding of commercial real estate development processes.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in a hybrid environment.
• Knowledge of South African building regulations and planning policies.
• A compelling portfolio demonstrating expertise in commercial and retail architecture.

Responsibilities

• Lead the architectural design process for commercial and retail projects from concept to construction documentation.
• Develop creative and functional design solutions meeting client requirements and user experience.
• Prepare detailed architectural drawings, renderings, and presentations.
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Collaborate with clients, developers, engineers, and interior designers.
