Placements24 is seeking an experienced Project Architect to lead major commercial developments in Vereeniging, Gauteng. You will manage from concept through completion, ensuring design integrity, client satisfaction, and timely delivery.

The role requires 8+ years of post-graduate experience, proficiency in Revit and AutoCAD, and a strong grasp of South African building codes. Hybrid work, with leadership responsibilities across internal teams and external consultants.

Qualifications

• Minimum 8 years post-graduate experience in architectural practice focusing on commercial projects.
• Professional degree in Architecture with SACAP registration eligibility.
• Proven ability to lead complex projects from concept to handover.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage architectural projects for commercial developments from concept to handover.
• Coordinate internal design teams and external consultants.
• Ensure designs meet client requirements and codes, upholding quality standards.
• Manage timelines, budgets, and resources effectively.
• Liaise with clients, authorities, contractors, and stakeholders for project progression.
• Prepare and present design proposals, reports, and documentation.
• Conduct site visits to monitor construction and address issues.
• Review and approve shop drawings and material submittals.
• Mentor junior staff and foster a collaborative team environment.
