You will monitor performance, coach staff, and implement improvements; collaborate with maintenance, quality, and logistics to meet targets and uphold SOPs. This on-site role requires 5+ years in supervision and a strong lean mindset.

Qualifications

• Five+ years in a supervisory production role.
• Strong knowledge of production processes, QC, and safety standards.
• Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to motivate and manage a team effectively.
• Proficient with production management software/tools.
• Problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Able to work flexible shifts, including nights/weekends if required.
• Lean manufacturing knowledge is a plus.
• On-site work at Vereeniging facility in Gauteng, ZA.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate the activities of production staff on the shop floor.
• Ensure production targets are met in terms of quantity, quality, and timeliness.
• Monitor production processes and equipment, resolving issues promptly.
• Train and mentor operators and line leaders, ensuring SOPs and safety protocols are followed.
• Conduct regular safety inspections and enforce safety regulations.
• Manage shift schedules and workforce allocation for optimal staffing.
• Collaborate with maintenance, quality control, and logistics for smooth flow.
• Maintain accurate production records and reports (output, downtime, waste).
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives on the production floor.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
