Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Production Engineer to oversee oil and gas production operations from Centurion. You will optimize production facilities, manage artificial lift systems, and plan well interventions to maximize output while controlling costs.

The role requires a Bachelor's in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, at least six years in production engineering in Oil & Gas, and strong data analysis, problem solving, and project management skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• 6+ years in production engineering within Oil & Gas.
• Strong knowledge of production facilities, separation processes and fluid mechanics.
• Experience with artificial lift techniques and well interventions.
• Proficiency in production optimization software and data analysis.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and project management skills.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and analyze well and facility production data to identify optimization opportunities.
• Design and implement artificial lift systems (ESP, gas lift) and troubleshoot issues.
• Plan and execute well workovers and interventions to maintain or enhance production.
• Ensure safety, health, and environmental compliance in all activities.
• Develop production forecasts and assist budgeting for operations.
• Collaborate with reservoir and drilling engineers to align production with field plans.
