Placements24 is seeking a Production Operations Engineer for our client in Centurion, Gauteng. You will optimize hydrocarbon production rates, troubleshoot operations, and drive safe, compliant plant performance in a dynamic oil and gas setting.

With a minimum of six years in production operations and a degree in Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering, you will guide field teams, apply best practices, and coordinate with maintenance and management to sustain efficient facilities and operational

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
• 6+ years in production operations within Oil & Gas
• Experience with production optimization and artificial lift (ESP, gas lift)
• Strong understanding of process safety management and environmental regulations
• Excellent analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities
• Effective communication and teamwork with diverse teams

Responsibilities

• Monitor production facility performance and implement corrective actions
• Optimize production through artificial lift systems and well interventions
• Ensure compliance with safety, environmental and regulatory requirements
• Analyze production data to identify trends and improvement opportunities
• Collaborate with maintenance teams to implement preventative/corrective maintenance
• Provide technical support and guidance to field operations personnel
