The role emphasizes regulatory compliance, safety training, audits, and mechanical integrity, with a focus on fostering a strong safety culture. This site-based role requires a Bachelor's in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, at least 6 years of process

Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum 6 years of process safety experience in energy/chemical processing industries.
• Strong knowledge of PSM elements, HAZOP, LOPA, SIL, and risk assessment methodologies.
• Familiarity with OSHA PSM, COMAH regulations.
• Experience with incident investigations and RCA techniques.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.
• CSP or equivalent certification is desirable.
• Experience in Bloemfontein/Free State or similar environments is a plus.

Responsabilidades

• Develop, implement, and manage Process Safety Management (PSM) programs.
• Conduct Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs) such as HAZOP, LOPA, and FMEA.
• Oversee incident investigations, root cause analysis (RCA), and corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations, industry standards, and policies.
• Develop and deliver process safety training to operations personnel.
• Perform safety audits and inspections of facilities and equipment.
• Manage mechanical integrity programs for critical process equipment.
• Advise on safety aspects during design, construction, and modification of facilities.
• Promote and cultivate a strong safety culture.
