Job summary

IQbusiness seeks experienced Process Engineers for contract positions in Johannesburg. The role focuses on discovering, modelling and optimising end-to-end workflows within financial services, with emphasis on governance and implementation handovers.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years in process engineering/design in banking or financial services, strong BPMN skills, and hands-on experience with ARIS, JIRA and Confluence. Matric and a related bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Matric required.
• Bachelor’s degree or recognised certification aligned to process engineering/industrial engineering.
• 7+ years’ experience in business process engineering/ design with financial services preferred.

Responsibilities

• Drive end-to-end process engineering across value chains including process discovery and architecture mapping.
• Produce as-is and to-be process models using BPMN and modelling best practices.
• Facilitate discovery workshops and stakeholder interviews to elicit tacit knowledge and confirm handovers and controls.
• Analyse workflow performance using metrics and root-cause approaches to identify bottlenecks and waste.
• Apply Lean/value stream thinking to improve throughput and reduce non-value activity.
• Design future-state processes with KPIs, governance, and compliance considerations.
• Translate process designs into implementation artefacts and handover packs.
• Collaborate with technology/delivery teams to align processes with systems and data flows.
