Placements24 is seeking a seasoned Senior Process Chemist to join our manufacturing operations in Benoni. This role focuses on optimizing and scaling up chemical synthesis processes to ensure efficient, safe, and cost-effective production.

You will work closely with production teams, engineers, and R&D scientists to troubleshoot existing processes, develop new manufacturing methods, and improve yields and product quality.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• 7+ years in process chemistry, scale-up, and chemical manufacturing.
• Strong knowledge of thermodynamics and reaction kinetics.
• Experience with Process Safety Management (PSM) and hazard analyses.
• Proficiency with process simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication, and teamwork skills.

Responsibilities

About the Role
