Job summary

SCallaghan Recruitment is recruiting an experienced PLC / Maintenance Supervisor for a well-established manufacturing company based in Pretoria. The role focuses on leading maintenance teams, diagnosing faults, and supporting PLC programming to improve automation.

The ideal candidate has strong PLC fault-finding skills, experience with Siemens and ABB robotics, and a track record in preventative maintenance within a manufacturing setting. Shift work and heights may be required.

Qualifications

• Electrical, Millwright or Mechatronics qualification required.
• Strong PLC programming and fault-finding experience.
• Experience supervising maintenance in manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day maintenance activities and technical teams.
• Diagnose electrical, automation and equipment faults.
• Support PLC programming, troubleshooting and system improvements.
• Coordinate planned maintenance and breakdown response.
• Monitor equipment reliability and minimise downtime.
• Provide technical guidance to maintenance personnel.
• Ensure maintenance activities are completed on schedule.
