Job summary
Network Recruitment in Johannesburg is seeking a technically skilled engineer with 2-3 years in industrial automation to join our automation team. The role focuses on PLC programming, fault finding, and maintenance of automated equipment across fast-moving production environments.
The ideal candidate will read electrical diagrams, work with SCADA/HMI systems, and understand industrial networks, VSDs, sensors, and control panels. Certifications and hands-on experience will be valued.
Qualifications
- 2-3 years' experience in industrial automation
- Experience with PLC programming and troubleshooting (Siemens, Allen Bradley, Schneider, Omron, or similar)
- Strong electrical fault-finding and maintenance experience
- Exposure to SCADA and HMI systems
- Knowledge of VSDs, motors, sensors, instrumentation, and control panels
- Experience commissioning and maintaining automated equipment
- Understanding of industrial communication networks
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and schematics
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience within FMCG, manufacturing, automotive, mining, or process industries advantageous
