Job summary

Trending Talent Solutions seeks a seasoned Maintenance Manager to oversee all engineering functions on site in the Western Cape. You will lead infrastructure maintenance and operational projects, ensuring delivery within time, cost and scope while maintaining safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate has a Degree/Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, a minimum of 8 years in a similar environment, and at least 5 years in supervisory roles, with strong leadership and problem-solving

Qualifications

• Degree or Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering is required.
• Minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar environment; at least 5 years in a supervisory/management capacity.

Responsibilities

• Manage the day-to-day activities of all engineering functions on site including infrastructure maintenance and operational projects, ensuring delivery within agreed timeframes, cost and scope.
• Enforce OHSACT, health, safety, environmental and food quality requirements to guarantee a safe working environment.
• Supervise outsourced contractor maintenance, ensuring compliance with OSHACT and proper inductions and safety files.
• Drive asset productivity through KPIs and cost controls; report KPI actuals versus budget and implement improvements.
• Develop and implement a preventative maintenance system for the facility and oversee major repairs to minimize costs.
• Coordinate the maintenance planning process and align with other functional areas to ensure optimal operations.
• Strategize CAPEX focus to reduce downtime and improve plant efficiency.
