The role requires 5+ years in pharmaceutical analytics, strong HPLC/GC skills, and familiarity with SAHPRA/FDA regulatory expectations. You will work within a well-equipped lab, collaborating across QA, regulatory, and R&D teams to ensure product quality and compliance.

Qualifications

• Master's or PhD in Analytical Chemistry, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years hands-on experience in pharmaceutical analytical development and quality control.
• Extensive expertise operating and troubleshooting analytical instruments (HPLC, GC).
• Strong understanding of method development and validation per ICH guidelines.
• Experience with stability testing programs and regulatory requirements (SAHPRA, FDA).
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize effectively.

Responsibilities

• Develop, validate, and transfer analytical methods for drug substances and finished products.
• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing using instrumental techniques (HPLC, GC, UV-Vis, IR).
• Conduct stability studies and analyze data to assess shelf-life.
• Analyze raw materials, intermediates, and finished products to meet specs.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and resolve testing issues.
• Prepare and review validation and stability reports and other docs.
• Ensure laboratory activities comply with cGMP, GLP, and regulatory requirements.
• Collaborate with QA, regulatory affairs, and formulation teams.
