Placements24 is seeking a Senior Pharmaceutical Analytical Scientist for its advanced laboratory in Klerksdorp, North West. You will design, validate, and transfer analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products, and ensure GLP/GMP compliance and robust data integrity.

The ideal candidate has a Ph.D. or Master in Analytical Chemistry with 5–7 years of pharma analytical experience, and hands-on experience with HPLC, UPLC, GC-MS, LC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, and dissolution

Qualifications

• Ph.D. or Master in Analytical Chemistry or related field.
• 5–7 years of pharma analytical development and testing experience.
• Extensive hands-on with HPLC, UPLC, GC-MS/LC-MS, UV-Vis, FTIR, and dissolution testing.

Responsibilities

• Design, validate, and transfer analytical methods for raw materials, intermediates, and finished products.
• Perform routine and non-routine analytical testing to support development and QC.
• Characterize drug substances and products, including impurity profiling.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and ensure GLP/GMP compliance.
• Prepare validation reports and study protocols.
• Review data for accuracy and regulatory compliance.
• Mentor junior scientists and technicians.
• Stay updated on regulatory requirements.
