Placements24 is seeking a senior Petroleum Engineer to contribute to strategic asset development in Pretoria. You will analyze reservoir performance, production operations, and development planning to maximize economic value of oil and gas assets.

Collaborating with geology, drilling and facilities teams, you will guide optimization strategies, prepare technical reports, and mentor junior engineers in a hybrid work environment in Pretoria.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering.
• 7+ years of petroleum engineering experience.
• Expertise in reservoir simulation, production optimization, and economic analysis.
• Familiar with recovery mechanisms and EOR techniques.
• Strong communication and analytical skills; able to work in a hybrid Pretoria setting.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate reservoir performance and develop long-term field development plans.
• Analyze production data, identify inefficiencies, and optimize operations.
• Perform economic evaluations for new projects and asset enhancements.
• Prepare and present technical reports, including reserve estimates.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
