Placements24 is seeking a Lead Petroleum Engineer to guide production and development engineering in Benoni. The role involves leading a team of engineers, setting technical standards, and coordinating across departments to maximize asset value in the Gauteng region.

You will oversee reservoir management, production optimization, artificial lift strategies, and EOR, with responsibilities including economic evaluations and ensuring health, safety, and environmental compliance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering; Master's preferred.
• 10+ years in petroleum engineering with production and reservoir management.
• Proven leadership guiding engineering teams and projects.
• Expertise in production optimization, well testing, and reservoir simulation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the planning and execution of field development and production enhancement projects.
• Oversee reservoir performance analysis, including decline curve analysis and forecasting.
• Develop and implement strategies for artificial lift systems and enhanced oil recovery (EOR).
• Manage production engineers and reservoir engineers, providing technical guidance and mentorship.
• Conduct economic evaluations for capital investment proposals and operational improvements.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
