Placements24 is recruiting a Lead Reservoir Engineer in the Klerksdorp area to drive strategic decisions for the asset portfolio. This senior role requires expertise in reservoir characterization, performance analysis, and field development planning.

You will lead a team of reservoir engineers, mentor junior staff, and collaborate with subsurface and operations teams to maximize hydrocarbon recovery and value for the North West province.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or equivalent; Master's degree desirable.
• 8+ years of progressive reservoir engineering experience in oil and gas.
• Proficient with reservoir simulation software and data analysis tools.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical evaluation of reservoir potential and economic viability.
• Develop and manage integrated reservoir models to forecast performance.
• Oversee reserve and resource reporting to standards.
• Provide guidance on well performance, artificial lift, and EOR.
• Mentor reservoir engineers and collaborate with subsurface and operations teams.
