Job summary

Rosstone Professional Solutions is seeking an experienced Payables Deputy to support the Head of Accounts Payable in leading a large AP function within a high-volume Shared Services environment. The role focuses on operational excellence, process optimisation, automation, and stakeholder management.

The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in Accounts Payable, strong leadership capabilities, and a track record of driving efficiency and controls in a fast-paced, matrix environment.

Qualifications

• NQF Level 7 qualification in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 8-10 years' experience in Finance, Accounts Payable, Transport Distribution (TD), or Payables environments.
• Strong Shared Services experience.
• Proven leadership experience managing large teams.
• Experience with SAP, Vendor Invoice Management (VIM), ReadSoft, or similar automation tools advantageous.
• Advanced Excel and Data Analytics skills.
• CA(SA) qualification advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support Accounts Payable operations, including invoice processing, vendor reconciliations, statement reviews, and balance validation.
• Drive process improvement and automation initiatives across the AP function.
• Ensure compliance with finance policies, procedures, and controls.
• Partner with stakeholders to improve efficiency and service delivery.
• Support the Accounts Payable Head in managing team performance and operational delivery.
