Job summary

Hire Resolve seeks an experienced AP Manager for a key financial services client in Midrand. The role oversees the accounts payable team, ensures accurate invoice processing, manages vendor relations, and implements best practices to improve efficiency.

The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor’s in Accounting/Finance with 5+ years of AP experience, including supervisory responsibility, and strong knowledge of accounting principles.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• Minimum of 5 years accounts payable experience in the financial services industry.
• Previous supervisory experience leading a team.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
• Proficient in MS Office, accounting software and ERP systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with ability to work under tight deadlines.
• Ability to prioritize tasks and work independently.
• Certified Accountant/Associations are a bonus.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee the accounts payable team, including hiring, training, and development
• Develop and maintain relationships with vendors and negotiate payment terms
• Ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, expense reports, and other payment requests
• Review and reconcile accounts payable transactions, resolve discrepancies, ensure policy compliance
• Monitor cash flow and assist in cash management activities
• Develop and implement process improvements to streamline operations and reduce costs
• Prepare reports and analysis on accounts payable performance and metrics
• Stay current on industry trends and best practices in accounts payable management
• Assist with month-end close activities and financial reporting as needed
