Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement comprehensive supply chain strategies to enhance efficiency, reduce lead times, and minimize operational costs across all distribution channels.
• Oversee the daily operations of the supply chain, including inventory management, warehousing, transportation, and order fulfillment.
• Analyze supply chain data to identify trends, bottlenecks, and opportunities for improvement, utilizing advanced analytics and reporting tools.
• Lead and mentor a team of supply chain professionals, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.
• Collaborate with procurement, sales, and manufacturing departments to ensure seamless integration of supply chain activities with overall business objectives.
• Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers, negotiating contracts and ensuring adherence to service level agreements.
• Implement and maintain robust quality control measures throughout the supply chain to ensure product integrity and customer satisfaction.
• Stay abreast of industry best practices, technological advancements, and regulatory changes impacting supply chain operations.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration, or a related field. A Master's degree is a plus.
• Minimum of 8-10 years of progressive experience in supply chain management, with at least 3-5 years in a managerial or leadership capacity.
• Demonstrated expertise in supply chain optimization techniques, inventory control, demand forecasting, and transportation management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
• Proficiency in supply chain management software (e.g., SAP, Oracle, JDA) and advanced Excel skills.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
• Proven experience in managing and developing teams.
• Familiarity with lean manufacturing or Six Sigma methodologies is advantageous.
• Must be eligible to work in South Africa.
