The University of the Free State invites applications for a nursing education role to teach and supervise in undergraduate and postgraduate programs, develop curricula, and advance research.

Qualifications

• PhD in Nursing or equivalent may be required for permanent appointment.
• Master’s in Nursing with doctoral pathway for conversion to permanent position.
• Professional Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (NQF 8) or equivalent.
• Additional Nursing Education qualification registered with SANC.

Responsibilities

• Teach undergraduate and postgraduate students in the relevant field, including lectures, tutorials, practical classes, assessments and seminars.
• Coordinate and lecture modules in the applicable field.
• Provide clinical supervision of students within the relevant field.
• Provide support to skills development within the relevant field.
• Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate research projects.
• Contribute to curriculum development and innovative postgraduate strategies.
• Recruit senior students for postgraduate study and promote throughput.
• Conduct research and publish in scientific journals; present at national/international fora.
