Job summary

Telkom SA is seeking a Network Planning Engineer to design, optimize, and expand its mobile and fixed‑line networks across KwaZulu‑Natal. Collaborate with RF engineers, project managers, and vendors to meet performance, capacity, and regulatory standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Telecommunications required.
• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on network planning experience in telecoms.
• CCNP or CWNP certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed network design plans for 4G/5G and fiber deployments.
• Conduct RF analysis, drive‑test assessments, and performance modeling.
• Collaborate with RF engineers, construction teams, and vendors to implement designs.
• Prepare design reports, cost estimates, and timelines for senior management.
• Monitor post‑deployment performance and identify optimization opportunities.
• Ensure compliance with SA telecommunications regulations and standards.
