Formación

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field.
• Minimum 6 years of RF network planning and optimization experience in telecoms.
• Strong knowledge of GSM, WCDMA, LTE, NR/5G and RF propagation concepts.

Responsabilidades

• Develop and execute detailed RF network plans to meet coverage, capacity, and quality objectives.
• Perform RF site surveys, drive tests, and data analysis to identify performance issues and optimization opportunities.

About the Role

Our client, a leading innovator in the telecoms industry , is seeking a highly analytical and experienced Senior RF Network Planner to join their team in Tembisa, Gauteng . This role is essential for optimizing the performance and coverage of our client's radio frequency (RF) network. You will be responsible for planning, designing, and executing strategies to ensure superior network quality and capacity. The ideal candidate has a deep understanding of RF propagation, cellular network technologies (2G, 3G, 4G, 5G), and network planning tools. You will work collaboratively with other engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and implement network enhancements, contributing significantly to the user experience across South Africa . Requirements

• In-depth knowledge of cellular technologies (GSM, WCDMA, LTE, NR/5G).
• Proficiency with RF planning and optimization tools (e.g., Atoll, Planet, TEMS).
• Strong understanding of RF propagation principles, antenna theory, and interference mitigation techniques.
• Experience with drive test data analysis and post-processing.
• Ability to interpret network KPIs and translate them into actionable planning strategies.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
• Familiarity with antenna tilt and azimuth optimization techniques.
• Experience working in the South African market is highly desirable.
