Job summary

FirstRand Bank Limited is seeking a Senior Murex Integration Engineer to design, develop and maintain Murex MX.3 integration solutions. The role focuses on reliable inbound/outbound interfaces between Murex and upstream/downstream systems, including feeds, market data, confirmations and settlements.

The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Murex components such as MxML Exchange, Connectivity 2.0, MxML workflows, Murex APIs, and file-based integration, with strong SQL, XML/JSON skills and

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, Mathematics, Finance or a related discipline.
• 5+ years’ experience with Murex MX.3 in a technical/integration role.
• 3+ years’ hands-on experience with MxML Exchange, Connectivity 2.0, MxML workflows, MxOpenConnect and Murex APIs.
• Strong SQL skills for data analysis, reconciliation, troubleshooting and performance.
• Experience with XML, XSL/XSLT, JSON or related structured data formats.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, configure, enhance and maintain Murex MX.3 integration solutions and interfaces.
• Provide production support and ensure operational stability of Murex interfaces.
• Use SQL and other tools to query and reconcile data across Murex and connected systems.
• Support testing, releases and configuration management for integration components.
