Job summary

Profession Hub is seeking a Senior Control Instrumentation Engineer to join our client’s team in Bryanston, Gauteng. You will design, develop and support control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) for mining projects and lead multidisciplinary teams through commissioning and FAT/SAT processes.

You will specify instrumentation, write specifications, manage vendor proposals, and ensure adherence to standards. A strong background in mining, project execution, and EC SA engineering registration is essential.

Qualifications

• BSc / BEng / BTech Electrical (Process Instrumentation) degree required.
• Registered Professional Engineer or PR Tech Eng with ECSA; candidate optional.
• At least 10 years in mining industry control instrumentation systems engineering and commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and support control and instrumentation systems for mining projects.
• Specify field instrumentation and design integrated control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS).
• Perform FAT/SAT, field commissioning, and calibration of systems.
• Prepare technical proposals, quotations, and evaluate vendor proposals.
• Manage project coordination and liaise with discipline managers and clients.
