Job summary

Profession Hub seeks a Senior Control Instrumentation Engineer to join our client in Bryanston to design, develop, and support control and instrumentation systems primarily within the mining sector.

You will lead proposals, engineering design, FAT/SAT, and field commissioning, with a track record in PLC/SCADA/DCS, and solid project coordination across disciplines. This role requires strong technical competence and initiative.

Qualifications

• BSc / BEng / BTech Electrical (Process Instrumentation) required.
• Registered as Professional Engineer or Technician (PR Tech Eng) with ECSA; registration optional for candidate.
• Manufacturer PLC/SCADA/HMI programming certifications are advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Lead proposal and pre-engineering support for control/instrumentation projects.
• Design control systems (PLC, SCADA, DCS) and related networks; write specifications and scopes of work.
• Perform FAT/SAT, commissioning, and field verification; ensure handover readiness.
