Job summary
Placements24 invites a highly competent Mineral Processing Engineer to optimize processing plant operations near Mossel Bay. You will focus on maximizing mineral recovery while driving efficiency and environmental compliance.
Responsibilities include process design, troubleshooting, pilot testing, and implementing improvements across comminution, flotation, and refining. You will work with operations, maintenance and research teams to uphold safety standards and deliver operational excellence.
Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Metallurgical or Chemical Engineering.
- 5+ years in mineral processing with plant operations experience.
- Proficient with METSIM or HSC Chemistry and data analysis tools.
Responsibilities
- Optimize mineral processing circuits to improve recovery and throughput.
- Troubleshoot plant issues and identify root causes.
- Conduct pilot plant testing and feasibility studies.
- Develop process simulations to predict performance and evaluate design changes.
- Ensure safety and environmental standards in the plant.
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance to drive continuous improvement.
