Placements24 seeks an experienced Senior Mining Surveyor to oversee mining survey activities in Randburg. You will lead a team, utilize advanced surveying technologies, and ensure spatial data integrity for planning, production and reporting.

The role requires substantial post-qualification experience, professional registration (Pr.Surv), and proficiency with AutoCAD, Surpac and Vulcan. Competitive package and development opportunities are offered.

Qualifications

• 6+ years post-qualification experience in mine surveying (surface and underground).
• Registration as Professional Mine Surveyor (Pr.Surv) with SA Geomatics Council.
• Proficiency with survey software and data processing tools.
• Experience with modern surveying equipment and techniques.

Responsibilities

• Conduct high-precision surveys for mine planning, development, and production monitoring (surface & underground).
• Use total stations, GPS, laser scanners and drones.
• Process and analyze survey data; create 2D/3D mine models.
• Manage survey databases ensuring data integrity.
• Supervise and train junior surveyors.
• Ensure compliance with legal/regulatory surveying requirements.
