Job summary

Placements24 is seeking an experienced Mine Maintenance Manager in Richards Bay to lead the maintenance department. You will drive strategic planning, maintenance scheduling, and resource management to ensure optimal equipment performance and safety.

The role requires a mechanical or electrical engineering background, a decade in maintenance management, and strong leadership to manage large teams and budgets within the mining sector.

Qualifications

Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
Minimum 10 years in maintenance management with senior leadership.
Proven track record leading large teams and budgets.
Extensive knowledge of heavy mining equipment and CMMS.

Responsibilities

Develop and implement maintenance strategies for all mining assets.
Manage the maintenance budget and optimize resources.
Lead and mentor maintenance supervisors, technicians, and artisans.
Oversee spare parts procurement and inventory control.
Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
Adopt new technologies to improve reliability and reduce downtime.
