Job summary

Greif is seeking a Senior Millwright in Roodepoort, South Africa. The role focuses on troubleshooting and repairing complex electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems, plus instrumentation and controls work.

You will diagnose PLC/HMI/drive issues, perform preventive maintenance, and update CMMS histories. The ideal candidate has a High School diploma with 4+ years of relevant experience, strong safety compliance, and leadership ability to mentor colleagues on shift.

Qualifications

• High school diploma (or equivalent) with 4+ years maintenance experience.
• Advanced troubleshooting across electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Experience with instrumentation calibration and loop checks.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoots and repairs electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment.
• Performs instrumentation and controls work including calibration and loop checks.
• Diagnoses PLC/HMI/drive issues and implements corrective actions.
• Conducts preventive maintenance and updates CMMS histories.
• Mentors colleagues and may lead small maintenance tasks on shift.
• Ensures safe work practices and compliance with standards.
