Job summary

Werfnet in South Africa is seeking a qualified Millwright to join our maintenance team. The ideal candidate will maintain, repair, and troubleshoot production machinery to ensure optimal plant performance and minimal downtime.

Requirements include a recognised Millwright trade qualification and 3–5 years of relevant post-qualification experience in a manufacturing environment, with strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills. Willingness to work shifts and overtime is expected.

Qualifications

• Millwright trade qualification is essential.
• 3–5 years of post-qualification experience in a manufacturing/processing environment.
• Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills are required.
• Knowledge of preventative maintenance and breakdown repairs is a must.
• Experience with production machinery, motors, pumps, gearboxes and conveyors is expected.
• Willingness to work shifts and overtime when required.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on production machinery and equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical faults.
• Conduct fault-finding and breakdown repairs to minimise downtime.
• Maintain and repair motors, pumps, gearboxes, conveyors and related machinery.
• Carry out installations, servicing and equipment upgrades.
• Work with pneumatic and hydraulic systems.
