Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Reliability Engineer to join the asset management team in Queenstown. This hybrid role focuses on reliability engineering to maximize uptime and asset life through RCM, RCA, and predictive maintenance techniques.

You will analyze equipment data, lead maintenance strategies, and drive reliability improvements while balancing on-site analysis with remote data interpretation and reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 6+ years in mechanical reliability engineering or maintenance.
• Strong understanding of mechanical systems and failure modes.
• Experience with reliability analysis methods.
• CMMS experience advantageous.
• Data analysis, reporting and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement reliability-centered maintenance (RCM) programs for mechanical assets.
• Conduct root cause analysis (RCA) to identify failure causes.
• Utilize predictive maintenance technologies such as vibration analysis, thermography, and oil analysis.
• Monitor equipment performance data and develop strategies to improve uptime and reduce maintenance costs.
• Create and maintain asset management databases and reliability documentation.
• Collaborate with maintenance and operations to implement reliability improvements and best practices.
