Job summary

MC Technology Staffing is seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter in Germiston, South Africa. You will assemble, install and maintain mechanical equipment, read technical drawings, and perform fault-finding and repairs in a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have 23+ years of fitting experience, strong mechanical aptitude, and the ability to work safely. Familiarity with machinery and technical drawings is essential; trade qualifications are a plus.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 / Matric is required.
• 23+ years' fitting experience is required.
• Experience in an engineering/manufacturing environment is required.
• Ability to read technical drawings.
• Good mechanical and technical aptitude.
• Experience with machinery, equipment and mechanical components.
• Fitter Trade Certificate / Red Seal will be advantageous.
• Maintenance and fault-finding experience will be advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, install and maintain mechanical equipment and machinery.
• Read and interpret technical drawings.
• Perform mechanical fitting and assembly work.
• Conduct basic fault-finding and repairs.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Inspect components and equipment to ensure correct operation.
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
• Follow company safety and quality procedures.
