Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer for a fully remote role. You will lead advanced mechanical design and development of complex systems for global markets.

Responsibilities include FEA/CFD analyses, CAD/CAE modeling, and creating schematics, P&IDs, 3D models, and BOMs. You will mentor junior engineers in a distributed, virtual environment and ensure timely project delivery.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• At least 10 years of progressive mechanical design and engineering leadership experience.
• Expertise in CAD/CAE software: SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, COMSOL.
• Strong understanding of materials, manufacturing processes including additive manufacturing, and international standards.
• Proven ability to lead projects and manage timelines in a remote setting.
• Excellent written and verbal communication for virtual collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, and implementation of complex mechanical systems and products from concept to final release.
• Conduct advanced engineering analyses, including FEA and CFD, to ensure optimal performance and robustness.
• Develop detailed design documentation, including schematics, P&IDs, 3D models, and Bills of Materials (BOMs).
• Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams, ensuring seamless integration and project progression.
• Mentor and guide junior engineers, fostering technical growth in a virtual setting.
• Stay current with emerging technologies and propose innovative solutions to enhance product capabilities and manufacturing processes.
