Job summary

Communicate Finance seeks a senior Mechanical Engineering leader to guide a high-performing design team. You will mentor engineers, allocate resources to top-priority projects, and interface with clients to capture requirements for compliant solutions.

Responsibilities include managing schedules, leading design reviews, and developing 3D models and drawings from concept to production. You will drive continuous improvement and maintain data across systems, with occasional international travel.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical engineering is required (BEng/BSc).
• Minimum 15 years post-graduate engineering design experience.
• Proven leadership of engineering/design teams.
• Strong project management and resource planning capabilities.
• Experience conducting design reviews and ensuring standards compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead and develop a high-performing mechanical design team.
• Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and support to design engineers.
• Manage engineering resources and allocate tasks according to project priorities.
• Interface with customers and stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver solutions.
• Ensure engineering deliverables comply with customer specifications and industry standards.
• Manage project schedules and achieve key milestones.
• Lead internal and external design reviews for technical accuracy.
• Develop and review 3D models, drawings, and design documentation.
• Support product development from concept to production.
• Maintain engineering data in management systems.
