Placements24 is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a remote team supporting operations across regions, including Randburg. You will lead complex mechanical system development, perform advanced FEA-based stress, thermal, and vibration analyses, deliver detailed 3D CAD models, 2D drawings, and full technical documentation while mentoring junior engineers in a remote setting.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• 10+ years of progressive mechanical design and product development experience.
• Expertise in CAD and FEA tools; leadership and remote project management.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of complex mechanical systems from concept to production.
• Perform advanced stress analysis, thermal and vibration simulations with FEA tools.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and comprehensive technical documentation.
• Mentor junior engineers and guide projects in a remote setting.
• Collaborate with manufacturing, R&D and QA across regions.
• Evaluate new technologies to improve design processes.
