Job summary

Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a fully remote position. You will lead the design process from concept to production, delivering robust mechanical solutions from your home office.

You will create detailed 3D models, BOMs, and perform FEA/thermal analyses while collaborating with global cross-functional teams. A Master's in Mechanical Engineering and 8+ years' experience are required.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of professional experience in mechanical product design.
• Proficiency in SolidWorks or Inventor with advanced surfacing and assembly techniques.
• Strong knowledge of materials, manufacturing processes, and design for manufacturability (DFM).
• Experience in FEA and thermal analysis.

Responsibilities

• Lead design and development of innovative mechanical products from concept to production.
• Create detailed 3D models, 2D drawings, and BOMs using CAD software.
• Conduct design validation through simulations, prototyping, and testing.
• Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams including R&D, manufacturing, and QA.
• Document design processes, specifications, and test results thoroughly.
