Placements24 is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work remotely on cutting-edge projects for clients across industries. You will develop detailed mechanical designs, run FEA and thermal simulations, and ensure designs are optimized for performance and manufacturability.

The role requires at least 6 years of experience, a degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master's preferred), and fluency with SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360, ANSYS, and Abaqus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering; a Master's degree is a plus.
• 6+ years of professional experience in mechanical design and product development with a strong project portfolio.
• Proficiency in 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, CATIA, Fusion 360) and simulation tools (ANSYS, Abaqus).
• Solid understanding of manufacturing processes, materials selection, and GD&T principles.

Responsibilities

• Conceptualize, design, and develop intricate mechanical systems, components, and assemblies using advanced CAD software.
• Conduct thorough engineering analysis, including FEA, thermal simulations, and stress testing, to validate design integrity.
• Create comprehensive design documentation, including 3D models, drawings, BOM, and technical specifications.
• Collaborate with remote cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Provide technical guidance to junior engineers and contribute to process improvements.
• Stay updated on industry trends and technologies to enhance product performance.
